Pond Sealer

Bentonite is an excellent sealer for ponds. One of its most useful properties is to absorb moisture…and hold on to it. Once it is fully saturated it becomes an excellent barrier to moisture. It is non toxic to wildlife and humans. Our bentonite is completely natural with nothing added. This product comes in 2,000 or 3,000 pound bags.

Application

We normally recommend 3lbs per square foot of pond area. This should be increased for sandy or rocky soil types. It is usually best to order in even semi loads of 14x 3000 pound totes.

2. Wait until pond is completely dry
3. NEVER STAND UNDER LIFTED BAGS! These totes are engineered to handle this product and weight but improper handling can damage straps and cause bags to fall.
4. Set bags evenly throughout pond to ensure even coat of sealer.
5. Cut bags open with utility knife near the bottom.
6. Lift bags and dispense of bags.
7. Blade or disk product to spread.
